Republic Day Celebration

Makati Diamond Residences on June 28

MAKATI CITY, METRO MANILA, JUNE 10, 2019 — Republic Day in the Philippines, also referred to as Filipino American Friendship Day, is typically celebrated on the Fourth of July. But this coming June 28th, Pinetree Capital Manila will proudly host the Republic Day Celebration, in cooperation with the Manila Angel Investors Network (based in Makati City), the Barangay of San Lorenzo, and various members of the expat community; the likes of which include the Elks Lodge and Club in Makati, the American Chamber of Commerce, and other expat community members. This night of music is in celebration and in appreciation of the vital relationship between the Philippines and its international partners, not least of which is the United States.

The event’s guest of honor is the Belgian Consul Cécile Thoen. The program will feature a special performance from her accompanied by one of the oldest jazz bands in the country, The Executives. Barangay San Lorenzo’s Chairman Ernie Moya will deliver the event’s opening remarks. Cocktails begin at 6:30 PM (RSVP via this form, “Join Waitlist”).

The influx of new ideas and technology generated by these innovative leaders from all nations has been allowing the growth of the startup industry in the Philippines, and can be a catalyst for further economic growth. Collaborations among nations, particularly the United States, has been bearing fruit for all parties because of the size and adoption of the tech user in the Philippines. Maintaining relationships between countries through these events should contribute to the improvement in the nations’ growth.
